What data we process and why

In the quote request form: the data you provide to us (name, email, optional telephone number, province, whether you already have a plot of land, budget, the model you are interested in and message), together with the model or manufacturer from which you write to us. We process it to (a) handle your request and help you find the house you are looking for and (b) share your data with manufacturers, distributors and installers of prefabricated and modular houses so that they contact you and send you quotes and information about their products. The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation, RGPD in Spanish), which we record together with the version of the text accepted and the date.

If you also tick the optional communications box, we will process your email to send you news and offers from Moduly Homes; you can unsubscribe at any time.

In the contact form (Write to us): your name, your email, your message and, if you flag a piece of data to us, the page you are referring to. We use them only to reply to you and they are not shared with anyone. The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).

In the form for manufacturers (For manufacturers): the details of the company and of the contact person that you provide to us, so that we can contact you and publish the company’s listing with the data and material you supply to us. The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR).

Recipients: disclosure to manufacturers

When you request a quote, your data is disclosed to one or more manufacturers, distributors or installers of prefabricated and modular houses so that they contact you. We select them according to your province, budget and type of house. Each manufacturer acts as an independent controller of the data it receives and of the communications it sends to you. You can ask us at any time for the list of manufacturers with which your data has been shared.

Moduly Homes may receive remuneration from manufacturers for putting you in contact; for you the service is free of charge and without obligation. Apart from this disclosure, only the providers strictly necessary to operate the site (hosting and email) are involved, as data processors and under a confidentiality contract, and Google if you accept its analytics (see “Analytics”). We do not sell your data for third-party advertising unrelated to this purpose.

Retention

We keep requests and messages for as long as necessary to handle them and for a maximum of 2 years from the last contact, unless you withdraw your consent earlier.

Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability, as well as withdraw your consent and object to disclosure to manufacturers at any time (without retroactive effect), by writing to info@modulyhomes.com. You can also lodge a complaint with the AEPD, the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos; aepd.es).

International transfers

The providers that operate the site (hosting and email) process the information on servers located in the European Union. The exception is Google Analytics 4, and only if you accept it in the cookie notice: it sends data about your browsing to Google, which acts as a data processor and may transfer it outside the European Economic Area. The manufacturers to which, with your consent, your data is disclosed are companies in the sector based in Spain.

Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration. Access to requests is restricted to the staff needed to handle them.

Minors

The site and its forms are aimed at people of legal age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors; if you find that a minor has given us data, write to us and we will delete it.

Analytics

This site uses its own anonymous measurement, which is exempt from consent. If you accept it in the cookie notice, it also uses Google Analytics 4, which installs its own cookies and sends data about your browsing to Google (see “International transfers”); if you decline, it is not loaded. We do not use advertising cookies. You will find the detail in the cookie policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to adapt it to legal or service changes. We will always publish the current version on this page with its revision date; if the change affects how we process your data, we will notify you through the contact details you have provided to us.
