Light steel (steel framing) allows quick, precise and very stable structures. It is common in expandable modules and industrialised houses; how it performs depends greatly on the insulation that goes with it.

How much does a prefab house cost in Spain?

It depends on the size, the material and above all on what the price covers. For turnkey houses, the median is €1,639/m² (137 models from 21 manufacturers) and the middle half of manufacturers range from €1,262/m² to €2,025/m², not counting the plot. A turnkey family house of 90 to 115 m² has a median of €164,000 (28 models from 14 manufacturers). Whether or not the price includes VAT is stated on each model page. A kit you assemble yourself is in a different league and cannot be compared with these figures.
